Sand mandala

In Tibetan Buddhism a sand picture is created by Monks in the form of a mandala. This vividly detailed, sprinkled sand mandala is ritualistically destroyed after several days. Dismantling the mandala symbolises the transitory nature of life and the detachment from the material world.
